Cengiz Enerji will build a thermal power plant with a capacity of 240 MW in the Tashkent region. The Head of Uzbekistan approved an investment agreement between the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and the Turkish Cengiz Enerji (investor) and Cenergo (Project Company). The President also approved an agreement on the purchase of electricity between the National Electricity Networks of Uzbekistan JSC (NESU) and Cenergo.
According to this agreement, Cenergo undertakes to sell the generated electricity to “NESU”. The document notes that “NESU” will be guaranteed to purchase electricity for 25 years.
