Izmir Police Social Housing and Lodging Buildings

The objective of the design services is to conduct vulnerability assessments and prepare preliminary and final structural retrofitting designs, including non-structural elements, architectural, mechanical and electrical renovation designs, cost estimates, bills of quantities, specifications and tender documents for social housing and police lodging buildings located in İzmir and İzmir’s districts.

The following works were carried out within the scope of the project:

• Geological and topographical mapping site studies and determination of ground conditions
• Structural assessment and preparation of drawings of existing system
• Structural seismic analysis of existing system
• Identifying structural system weaknesses
• Concrete and reinforcement sampling and strength tests
• Detection of existing reinforcement combinations of structural elements with non-destructive methods
• Evaluation of the current structural situation and reporting
• Decision of the retrofitting method and conducting structural analysis
• Preparation of reinforcement details and project
• Preparation of architectural and E&M renovation designs
• Preparation of BoQ, technical specifications and tender documents.
