Atakoy İkitelli Metro Line is one of the most important metro lines of Istanbul, which connects Bakırkoy – Bahcelievler – Bagcilar – Kucukcekmece – Basaksehir districts and is planned to provide public transportation service to the entire Basin Express road. Atakoy Ikitelli line has stations integrated with Marmaray, Metrobus, Beylikduzu – Sefakoy, Bahcelievler – Bagcilar, Halkali – Kirazli and Mahmutbey – Esenyurt metro lines.

 

It is a rail system project with approximately 13.5 km long main line tunnels, a total of 11 tunnel and cut-and-cover type stations, approximately one km overnight tunnel and an energy supply center.

 

Prota has undertaken the preparation of concept, preliminary, final and detail projects of this line. It is planned that the line will carry 412,000 passengers daily in 2024. The distance between Atakoy and Ikitelli will decrease to 21,5 minutes.

 

The project is carried out using Building Information Modeling (BIM) system. The design made with the BIM system by Prota BIM Team ranked in the infra-structure category, among the top three in the Autodesk AEC Excellence 2018 awards, where 256 projects competed from 32 different countries.

 

The design services provided by Prota within the scope of the project are summarized below:

  • Alignment, rail and track design
  • TBM, NATM and cut-and-cover tunnel
  • Architecture, interior design and finishing works
  • Structural systems
  • Geological and geodetic studies, geotechnical studies, reports and excavation shoring projects
  • Mechanical ventilation, heating-cooling, plumbing systems,
  • Fire projects (station and tunnel fire detection and fighting, gas-water extinguishing, smoke removal and escape route pressurization)
  • Electrical Projects (Power installation, low voltage, MV system, lighting, socket, UPS, routing and grounding system projects)
  • Power supply, traction transformers and ring system
  • Communication design (CCTV, announcement, passenger information, emergency call, clock, radio system, driver platform monitoring, entrance security, line-wide radio system, tunnel radio and fiber optic cabling)
  • Acoustic Modeling Reporting (building acoustics, line vibration, noise analysis)
  • Environmental planning (landscape, road-traffic regulation, traffic displacement, Infrastructure and infrastructure displacement and drainage)
  • CFD, SES, piston effect simulations
  • Zoning plan amendment proposals, expropriation documents
  • Depot and maintenance facility design
  • BoQ and technical specification preparation
  • As-built drawings
