The Limak Trakya Cement Plant, established in the province of Kirklareli, district of Pınarhisar, was founded to contribute to the national economy. It commenced production in 1959 using the wet system, with a clinker capacity of 85,000 tons per year. Initially a state-owned institution under the structure of Citosan, Trakya Cement was privatized in 1989. Later, as part of the acquisition of Set Cement Plant and Facilities by Limak on April 7, 2011, it became part of the Limak Cement group.
Currently, the factory has a clinker production capacity of 2,100,000 tons per year and a cement production capacity of 2,300,000 tons per year. Prota provided services for steel and concrete structural engineering, as well as preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and technical specifications in the permit, preliminary, final, and detailed stages of the project.
